Dr. Carlos Valdes, DMD
Midtown Manhattan Dentist, Carlos M. Valdes, DMD, is a cross-trained Prosthodontist and Oral Surgical Implantologist. He practices General and Cosmetic Dentistry in his New York City office. Dr. Valdes is one of a handful of doctors that places and restores dental implants. He also diagnoses and treats Temporomandibular Joint Disorders or TMJ.
When not practicing dentistry in his private Midtown Manhattan dental practice, he formerly maintained an attending hospital position at New York Medical College, and Metropolitan Hospital in Manhattan, where he trains general dentists and residents. Dr. Valdes has also served as Chief Resident at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn.
For leisure, Dr. Valdes likes to take Portuguese lessons, go bike riding, go to yoga classes, take dance lessons, and garden.

Education and Training
Carlos graduated from Temple University School of Dentistry (1992) and then served as Chief Resident in a 2 year GPR at Maimonides Medical Center. He then proceeded to specialize in Prosthodontics at Temple University.
In addition, Dr. Valdes completed the 2 year Implant Fellowship program at New York University under Dr. Dennis Tarnow. He has been practicing full time in Manhattan for over 20 years and he has previously been on faculty at the NYU Implant Fellowship Program, Columbia University, Metropolitan Hospital and St. Vincent’s Midtown Hospital. He has also served on the Admissions Committee at Temple University and Maimonides.
